Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Rutland County Garden Furniture website and the purchase of products from us. By placing an order or using our website, you agree to be bound by these terms.

Orders and Pricing

Order Confirmation

All transactions are conducted in UK Sterling (GBP). Once you place an order, you will receive confirmation via email containing your Transaction and Order Reference numbers.

Pricing

We monitor prices daily to ensure accuracy. However, we cannot be held responsible for pricing errors resulting from software malfunctions or human error. This website operates on an 'invitation to treat' basis and not as an 'offer for sale'. Consequently, we reserve the right to decline orders for bulk or high-value purchases.

Product Classification

Our products are classified as DIY items suitable for self-assembly.

Installation by Tradespeople

If you choose to employ a tradesperson to construct your purchase, please note that Rutland County Garden Furniture and its agents will not be liable for any costs incurred by the appointment of tradespeople to commence work before the item has been successfully delivered to the designated delivery address.

Cancellation and Returns

Your Cancellation Rights

Your right to cancel an order begins when you place your order and ends 14 days from the day you receive your goods. If your order consists of multiple items, the 14-day period runs from when you receive the last item in the batch.

This 14-day period is the time you have to decide whether to cancel. You then have a further 14 days to return the goods to us.

Returning Goods

If you change your mind about your order, you may return it for a refund within 14 days of delivery, provided the item is in its original condition and packaging.

You are responsible for the cost of returning items. If you request that we arrange collection and/or shipping, the return shipping charge will be deducted from your refund.

Exceptions to Returns

The following items cannot be returned or refunded:

  • Personalised or customised items made to your specifications
  • Goods manufactured to custom sizes, including pergolas, polycarbonate roof kits, and pond liners/underlay kits

However, if your item is damaged or defective, these exceptions do not apply. In such cases, we will work with you to find the best solution.

Natural Materials

Timber is a natural product that expands and contracts, which may cause hairline cracks and knots. These are characteristics of natural wood and do not constitute defects.

If you are not assembling your item immediately upon delivery, please fully unwrap it and store it outside on a flat surface to prevent damage.

Warranty

Two-Year Limited Warranty

All our products come with a two-year limited warranty starting from the date of delivery. We take every care to ensure our products are of the highest quality. However, many are custom-built using natural materials and handmade components, which means occasional imperfections or variations can arise.

Damage in Transit

Damage incurred during transit is not covered by warranty. If you receive goods in a damaged condition, please immediately inform us and the courier company, providing photographs of the damaged items.

Important: If goods are signed for as 'received in good condition', neither Rutland County Garden Furniture nor its nominated courier accepts liability for any damage incurred.

Minor Imperfections on Receipt

Some materials may include minor, natural imperfections. In most cases, these are purely cosmetic and will not affect the function or longevity of the product.

If you believe an item or component does not meet the quality you would expect, please contact us and we will do our best to remedy the situation. In most cases, it is faster and more efficient to replace the defective component rather than the entire order.

Material Failure

If a part or component fails over time, please contact us. We will investigate whether the item can be easily replaced in situ with minimal disruption to your built structure.

Prohibited Use

You must not use this website for any unlawful purpose or in any manner prohibited by these Terms and Conditions. You must not:

  • Use the site in any way that may harm Rutland County Garden Furniture or other parties
  • Adversely affect the site's functionality or its use by others
  • Attempt to obtain information from or through this site that is not intentionally made available
